Summoning his weapons through kiseru smoke
shapeshifting; using smoke he can assume the form of a fledgling oni
shapeshifting using sake to attain his true oni form
Still has superhuman strength and durability at 30% in human form
In the event of him being stabbed and/or dismembered, he can contract his muscles tightly to either stop the bleeding and/or latch on to the enemies' weapon. Major drawback: the pain still remains until the injury completely heals. This ability is nullified if the injury is caused by a holy object/item.

History:
No one exactly knew when this particular oni started to manifest his presence in the far northern part of Japan. He is, based on all standards and default folklore, a runt. After all, the oni are often huge and menacing and pretty much have a hideous visage that they are well-known for and are immortalized in hannya masks that were used in plays and ceremonies.Whereas this oni who calls himself Bon, looks like a human child save for the pair of horns on his head and his superhuman strength.

A farmer living on the outskirts of a small village found him loitering around in the fields and invited him in for a meal. The oni would disappear at night and would return in the morning after, and would eat again at the farmer's place. During these times that he disappears, he would till the barren fields of the farmers living at the edges with his bare hands. They figured it out soon and the village took to asking the oni for help in exchange for large volumes of food. Bon did not waste everything that is served up to him and would do whatever the villagers asked, as long as he is capable of doing it. Life is easy, or so Bon thought.

One day though, the oni child disappeared without a word. The village expected him to return, but he didn't. Seasons came and went, but the oni did not return. Unbeknownst to the villagers, Bon was taken by his blood father Ibaraki-doji to his island in the Far North where there is nothing but ice. He had taken the child to train him and to teach him that humans shouldn't be treated kindly, and that they are nothing but food for them. Bon would've stayed, if only the other oni accepted him, but they didn't, since he lacked the natural red or blue coloring of an oni and on top of him being human-sized. Bullied, he ran away to return to the village, but he returned to nothing, since the village was overrun by bandits a century ago. There is nothing for him there, and he decided to go elsewhere.

Alone, he roamed the countryside, hiring out himself either as a yojimbo or just a laborer in the fields. It was also at this time that he had made the resolve to eat ONLY humans that are beyond redemption according to his judgement. He haunted the hills where bandits and murderers lurk, and he preyed on them. This is also the time he came upon a female kyuubi called Mae, who also is holding claim to the hills where Bon roamed. Their paths have crossed multiple times and every time they fought, it always ends in a draw. They agreed upon an uneasy truce and decided to cooperate with each other since they share the same prey--heartless humans. In a way they have hooked up, putting an abrupt end to Bon's whore-mongering at the nearby villages. Life is easy, or so he thought, yet again.

A group of monks chased them down after the villagers reported sightings of a demon and a ninetailed fox in the hills. Mae was mortally wounded, and with the last of her powers, she used her memory goldfish to erase all the memories Bon had of her and she conjured a particularly potent illusion, trapping the monks along with herself and allowing Bon to escape. The oni continued on without his mate, uncertain of what happened to her and wondering why it hurt not to be able to be with her. His feet brought him to a strange building in the middle of nowhere. Curious. The whole place is warded and Bon half-expected to be immediately reduced to cinders, but to his mild disappointment and wonder, he didn't. The whole vicinity of the mansion smelled of supernatural beings, and from that, Bon decided it would be a decent place to stay. Not wanting to be a freeloader, he asked the owner if it is possible for him to have a job, any job, at the place just so he could stay. And that is where his story begins...
